Preguntas frecuentes
Are all deodorants with aluminum antiperspirants?
Aluminum salts are the active antiperspirant ingredient: they work by plugging the sweat gland outlet so you don't sweat. The problem is that many products labeled and sold as "deodorant" include them, so the name on the package doesn't make it clear for you. The way to find out is to look at the INCI and search for ingredients that start with "Aluminum," such as Aluminum Chlorohydrate or Aluminium Zirconium. We explain this in deodorant or antiperspirant: which should I choose?.
Does a deodorant without aluminum provide the same protection?
It protects in a different way. It doesn't stop you from sweating, because sweating is the mechanism your body uses to regulate its temperature; what it does is neutralize the bacteria that turn that sweat into bad odor. You will notice moisture, but not odor. Our formulas offer 24-hour protection, and up to 48 hours with SILVER TOUCH. We tell you all about it in demystifying sweat.
I'm switching from an antiperspirant; is there an adjustment period?
Yes, and it is good to know this before starting. If you have been plugging your glands for years, your skin needs a few weeks to rebalance itself when you stop, and during that transition, it is normal to notice more sweating or more odor than usual. It doesn't mean the product isn't working. We’ll support you through the change in make the transition to a natural deodorant easy.
Do they contain alcohol, parabens, or endocrine disruptors?
No. Our deodorants are formulated without aluminum, alcohol, or parabens, using ingredients of natural and organic origin, and are dermatologically tested. Endocrine disruptors are substances capable of interfering with the hormonal system, and several of those identified appear frequently in conventional daily-use cosmetics. We tell you which ones they are and where they hide in everything you need to know about endocrine disruptors.
I have sensitive skin and get irritated by any deodorant
It is more common than it seems: itching, redness, or a burning sensation in the underarms usually indicate that the skin barrier is compromised. SILVER TOUCH is formulated for sensitive skin and SILVER BREEZE is the fragrance-free version for those who react to scents. You have the complete guide in how to choose a deodorant if you have sensitive skin.
Which deodorant should I use according to my skin type?
SO FRESH and SO PURE for normal skin, SOFT BREEZE if you are looking for a gentle profile, SILVER TOUCH for sensitive skin, and SILVER BREEZE for sensitive, fragrance-free skin. You also have SILVER SEA. We help you decide in what is your perfect deodorant according to your skin type.
Can I use it before working out?
Yes, and it is one of their advantages over an antiperspirant: it does not interfere with sweating, which is exactly what your body needs to regulate temperature during exercise. We explain this in deodorant and sports.
Solid or cream? And are they vegan?
The solid is used with a refillable applicator and is more convenient for travel; the cream is applied with your fingers. The formula and protection are equivalent, so it comes down to preference, and both formats support refills. The entire range is vegan and holds the PETA Cruelty Free certification. If you are still in doubt, here is our guide to choosing your deodorant.
