Wooden combs and brushes

Wooden hair combs and brushes

Plastic brushes generate static electricity and can make hair frizzy. Wooden combs and brushes gently detangle, massage the scalp, and distribute the hair's natural oils from root to tip for healthier shine.

  • Wooden hair brush: for everyday use, suitable for all hair types.
  • Travel wooden brush: the same care in a pocket size.
  • Wooden comb: ideal for detangling wet hair without tugging and for distributing hair mask or conditioner.
  • Brush and comb cleaner: removes hair and product residue to help them last longer.

These are durable, natural-material accessories. Complete your routine with our hair accessories.

Preguntas frecuentes

Why a wooden brush and not a plastic one?

Because of static electricity. Plastic generates it when it rubs against hair, and that charge is what leaves hair frizzy and flyaway after brushing; wood does not. In addition, wooden pins with rounded tips cause less wear on the cuticle and help distribute sebum from the roots to the ends, which is free hydration.

Brush or comb? Which one is right for me?

We'll be clear because this is the most common confusion. The wooden comb has close-set teeth: it works well on straight or fine hair, for parting and distributing product, but if your hair is thick, curly, or tangles easily, it is not the right tool, and forcing it will only pull at the hair. For detangling, use the brush. If in doubt, the brush is suitable for more situations.

How do I brush without breaking my hair?

Never when wet, as that is when the fiber is most fragile and stretches before breaking. And always from bottom to top: start by detangling the ends, move up to the middle, and finish at the roots. Doing it the other way around just piles up knots.

How long does a wooden brush last?

Years, if it doesn't get wet. The wood is the only delicate part: do not submerge it, do not wash it under the tap, and do not leave it in the shower or in a steam-filled bathroom, because constant humidity lifts the finish and loosens the pins. Kept dry, it lasts much longer than a plastic one.

How do I clean it?

First, remove the hair accumulated between the pins with your fingers or with the brush and comb cleaner, which is designed exactly for that. Then wipe a slightly damp cloth over the base and let it air dry face down. Do this every two or three weeks: a dirty brush puts the oil and dust you just removed back into your clean hair.

What about the travel brush?

The wooden travel brush is the same concept in a small format, for your toiletry bag or purse. It fits well with the rest of the solid range, which travels without liquids: more ideas in travel toiletry bag with solid cosmetics.

Does it help reduce frizz?

It helps, but it doesn't solve it on its own. Frizz comes mainly from a dehydrated fiber that absorbs moisture from the environment; the brush avoids adding static electricity to the problem, and the rest is hydration. We explain this further in how to reduce hair frizz.
