Preguntas frecuentes
Why a sulfate-free shampoo?
Sulfates are surfactants that clean by creating a lot of lather, and we often associate foam with deep cleaning, even though that isn't always the case. The most common ones, SLS and SLES, are harsh on the hair fiber and the scalp. Our shampoos use mild plant-based surfactants and are also formulated without silicones, parabens, or phosphates. We expand on this in are sulfates in shampoo really that bad?.
Which eco-friendly shampoo should I choose for my hair?
MARE for oily hair, RIVUS for normal and dry hair, HIT if you are looking for a strengthening anti-hair loss shampoo, BLOOM to add volume to fine hair, FLASH for damaged hair, FLUFFY for curls and the curly method, and SMOOTH if you have a sensitive scalp or dandruff. We guide you step by step in which natural shampoo to choose based on your hair type, and we review the entire collection in the ultimate guide to solid shampoo.
My hair is shedding more, can I do something about it with my shampoo?
Daily hair loss is normal, and it is more noticeable in autumn because a portion of the hair enters the shedding phase at the same time. A shampoo cannot stop hair loss caused by hormonal or medical factors, but it can strengthen the fiber and care for the scalp, which is where new hair grows from: HIT is formulated specifically for that. We explain what lies behind seasonal shedding in why hair sheds more in autumn and underlying habits in how to reduce hair loss.
I have dandruff or an itchy scalp, what should I use?
SMOOTH is the one: it is designed for sensitive scalps and dandruff, and it cleans without stripping the barrier, which is precisely what usually worsens itching. Washing with lukewarm water and massaging with your fingertips—never your nails—helps a lot. We elaborate on this in how to eliminate dandruff without irritating the hair and in how to stop scalp itching.
What ingredients should a good shampoo have?
Mild surfactants that clean without stripping the scalp's barrier, and botanical active ingredients that offer something more than just cleansing. In our formulas, you will find ingredients like xylitol, burdock, chamomile, or calendula, depending on the variety. We detail this in what ingredients a good shampoo should have, and we review which ones are better to avoid in toxins in shampoos.
How do I know if a shampoo is truly natural?
By looking at the INCI, not the front of the packaging. "Natural" is not regulated as a commercial term, so what matters is what is inside and what certifications back it up. All our shampoos are vegan, cruelty-free, and come without plastic packaging. We give you the keys to reading a label in how to know if a shampoo is really healthy.
Why buy solid shampoo instead of liquid?
Because it is a concentrated product: you don't pay for water or a bottle, it lasts longer, and it doesn't create plastic waste. If you are wondering if a liquid shampoo can be just as sustainable, we analyze it here: can a liquid shampoo be sustainable?.
How do I use it and store it so it lasts?
Wet your hair with lukewarm water, rub the bar between your hands or directly on your hair until it lathers, massage for a few minutes, and rinse. After use, let it drain in a soap dish with drainage: standing water is what shortens its life the most. For travel tips, check this out: travel toiletry bag with solid cosmetics.
