What accessory do I need for what?
The wooden brush for detangling and distributing sebum; the comb for straight or fine hair and for distributing product; the travel brush for your toiletry bag; the cleaner to maintain them; the soap dish with drainage and the tin to store your solid shampoo; and the aluminum bottle to prepare styling gel.
Why wood and not plastic?
Because plastic generates static electricity when it rubs against hair, and that charge is what leaves hair frizzy right after brushing. Wood does not. In addition, the rounded-tip bristles pull less on the cuticle.
How do I store solid shampoo to make it last?
This is the question that saves the most shelf life. Standing water is what shortens the life of a solid bar the most: let it drain in a soap dish with drainage, away from the direct stream of the shower, and if you are traveling, store it dry in the tin. This way it won't soften or crumble at the edges.
How often should I clean my brush?
Every two or three weeks. Remove accumulated hair with your fingers or with the brush cleaner, wipe with a slightly damp cloth, and let it dry face down. A dirty brush puts the oil and dust you just washed away back into your clean hair.
Can wooden accessories get wet?
It's best not to. Do not submerge them or wash them under the tap, and do not leave them inside the shower or in a steam-filled bathroom: constant humidity lifts the finish and loosens the bristles. Stored dry, they last for years.
