Preguntas frecuentes
Which liquid shampoo should I choose?
GROW if you notice more hair loss and want to strengthen it; KURLI for curly and wavy hair; NUVÉ if you have dandruff, itching, or a sensitive scalp; GLACY for white or gray hair that turns yellow; and KALM for babies and children. We guide you on which natural shampoo to choose according to your hair type.
Liquid or solid? Which is better?
Neither is better; they solve different things. Solid lasts longer, has no plastic packaging, and travels without liquids. Liquid is easier to dose and distribute, and it is the natural choice if solid shampoo hasn't quite convinced you or if you share a shower with others. Our liquids have refills, so the bottle is reused. We analyze this in can a liquid shampoo be sustainable?.
Do they contain sulfates, silicones, or endocrine disruptors?
No. They are formulated without harsh sulfates, silicones, or parabens. The most common sulfates, SLS and SLES, clean by creating a lot of foam but are harsh on the hair fiber and scalp: we explain this in are sulfates really bad?. And regarding ingredients identified as potential endocrine disruptors, see this article.
They produce less foam than I expected
That is normal and intentional. We associate foam with cleanliness because sulfates generate a lot of it, but foam does not clean: the surfactant does. Ours are mild and plant-based; they produce less foam and leave the hair just as clean without stripping the scalp's barrier.
Do they have refills?
Yes, GROW, KURLI, NUVÉ, and GLACY have refills: you keep the original bottle and replace only the contents. This is the part that most reduces waste from a liquid product.
Are they suitable for children or during pregnancy?
KALM is formulated for babies and children, and NUVÉ is suitable for ages 3 and up. During pregnancy is when it makes the most sense to check the composition of what you use daily: we tell you what to look for in safe cosmetics during pregnancy. If you have a specific question, consult your midwife.
How often should I wash my hair?
There is no universal number: it depends on how much sebum you produce and your hair type. Washing daily does not damage the hair if the shampoo is mild, and spacing out washes does not "retrain" the scalp on its own. The signal to pay attention to is tightness: if your scalp feels tight after washing, the shampoo is too harsh.
